Nagpur: Arun Walke, the student of Vidarbha Institute Of Technology (VIT), has got 8.75 SGPA in the RTMNU Examination of First Semester Engineering. Shital Gaurkhede and Mrunal Yerpude have also scored 8.00 grade pointer in the same.

Apart from this many other students of college had also received excellent grades. VIT has a trend of awarding cash prize of amount 21,000 to students those who ranked first or topped in the university exams. Students are now preparing to give their best in upcoming Second Semester examination so as to get the cash prize.

Jitesh N Maheshwari (Chairman,VIT), said, “I congratulates the VIT Students for this great achievement.” Dr Pooja Maheshwari (Secretary, VIT) along with Dr G S Natrajan (Director, VIT) and Dr Sanjay Uttarwar (Principal, VIT) also appreciated the results obtained by the students of VIT.

Nagpur: A blood donation camp was organised on 6 Jan 2018 at S B Jain Institute of Technology, Management and Research (SBJITMR) campus under the NSS Unit of the college and Hedgewar blood bank. Over 104 students donated blood CEO Sanjeev Agrawal was the chief guest. The chief guest presented the NSS volunteers with appreciation certificate.

Dr Sanjay Badjate Principal SBJITMR, Ashok Patki, secretary Kiran Ingale (PRO), Hitesh Dorlikar (PRO) and all representative from Hedgewar blood bank distributed donors card to the participants for future reference. Some of the enthusiastic students got rejected due to under age and underweight criterion

Nagpur: ‘Catering is not just a profession, but involved science, management, skills, aesthetics and passion’, said Celebrity Chef Vishnu Manohar, at the prize distribution ceremony of novel theme based cookery competition, Swad bhi, Swasthya bhi.

The competition was organised by Ashadeep Nutrition Centre of Apanga Mahila Bal Vikas Sanstha as a part of silver jubilee year celebration. The programme was organised in association with Nutrition Society of India, Nagpur Chapter and Community Development centre, College of Hotel Management. Bhavana Deshpande won the first prize for her multigrain dahivada. She was the winner among 45 entries in students category from 8 colleges. Alpana Muley and Charu Chendke won first and second prize respectively in non-student category.

Dr SabihaVali, Dr Jyotsana Patil, Dr Shakti Sharma and Dr Shrilaxmi judged the competition. Dr Pratima Shastri, Dr Renuka Mainde, Dr Smita Vaidya, Professor Prashant Virkhare and Meghana Pandit organised the event. Professor Radha, Convenor NSI, Nagpur-chapter and Dr Thorat, Principal Government Polytechnic also shared the dias. NSI President Dr Rekha Sharma proposed the vote of thanks. It provided a platform for the creativity of chef’s nutritionists and technologists and homemakers using multigrain mixes from Asha deep and dry vegetable powders from Prime solutions.

Nagpur: Lokmanya Tilak Jankalyan Shikshan Sanstha’s (LTJSS) Priyadarshini Institute of Engineering & Technology (PIET) conducted Alumni meet 2018 at Cherish Banquet Hall, Marathahalli, Bengaluru recently on 10/02/2018. In all ,85 Plus alumni belonging to various branches from different companies attended the meet.

Prof. Archana Potnurwar, Alumni Coordinator PIET ,delivered the welcome speech and expressed her views on growth and achievement of PIET.

Prof. R.M. Pethe, TPO, PIET, briefed Alumni about various training, CSR, Industrial visit and other activities carried out at Institute level for raising the placement of our students passouts as well made them aware about the growth of college.

Dr. V. M. Nanoti, Principal, PIET delivered the presidential address to encourage the students to perform excellence for the uplifment of the society and also asked to start their own start-up and also formed the Bengaluru Alumni student chapter body of PIET, for strengthening the network of PIET Alumni.

For this student chapter, Mr. Nigam Singh from Mechanical Engineering elected as a President, Mr. Deepak Mishra from Information Technology as a Vice-President and Mr. Prashant Kumar, from Electronic and Communication Engineering elected as Secretary.

An interactive session was also organized on the occasion for the Alumni to share their achievement in their respective lives after passing out from PIET. Many also expressed their views and shared their old memories about the college.

Students from 2009 passout attended the meet and from various companies like Oracle, IBM, Big-Basket, Accenture, TCS, DXC Technologies, Bio-Con ltd; Cipla, Mind Tree, Tokopedia, SAP Lab, Cap-Gemini, Bosenand those who have their start-up.

Nagpur: Students of Priyadarshini Bhagwati College of Engineering brought laurels to the institute by excelling in RTMNU BE first semester W-2017 exam results. Overall result of BE I semester is 57%. Nearly, 31 students scored above 80% marks.Prajakts Sawai, a students of BE first semester, has secured top position in the college by securing 92.3% marks andd Rutvi Tank and Nishant Waghmare both scored 89.9%. Pranali Moundekar, Runita Bhasgauri, Leena Dadmal, Disha Ghonge, Abhishek Sonsare, Sonal Shendre, Jeewan Hatwar scored abopve 85 % marks.

Principal Dr N K Chaaudhari appreciated all the students and staffers of the college. Principal sir extended his gratitude to the chairman of LTJSS Dr Satish Chaturvedi, Secretary Abha Chaturvedi for providing right environment and efficient staff. Nagpur: Tender Steps CDS School, Ramdaspeth conducted an English Olympiad Exam recently. From Std I, Aryan Pratapwar bagged a gold medal, Pushkar Yende won silver, while Shreya Kasarla bagged bronze medal. From Std II, Aadesh Meshram won a gold medal while Devyansh Taywade and Yatharth Bhaisar bagged silver and bronze respectively.

Seven students – Khyati Mude, Sarakshi Patil, Pratyusha Sontakke, navya Dhande, Saisha Totade, Gunjan Gakhre and Aditya Sonare from Std II bagged a medal and certificate of distinction. From Std III, Mehul Paunikar won a gold medal while Abhishek Sirsikar bagged the silver medal. Tanishka Ghawade, Sweekruti Mankar, Tanmay Phatak, and Sankalp Basanwar bagged bronze medals.

Nagpur: Students of Jain International School participated in Puzzle Bee, a logical and lateral thinking competition organised by Logicology. The competition was open for students from Classes IV to VIII. Akhilesh Chandorkar of Std VIII came first in senior category.

He received a trophy and certificate of merit.More than 900 students across 20+ schools from Nagpur participated in the first round which was an online MCQ test. Approximately 30% participants were selected for the second round, a pen and paper subjective exam.

The management, Principal Anmol Badjatia, teacher in-charge Divya Sharma and staff appreciated the efforts of Akhilesh who participated and excelled in the competition.

Nagpur: Saraswati Vidyalaya, Pre-Primary Department run under the South Indian Education Society, recently conducted an Inter School Fancy Dress Competition in the school premises. Around 16 schools participated in the competition. Ahalya Chari and Sangeeta Parekh judged the competition.

T K Venkatesh, President of SIES, presided over the function. The first Prize was bagged by Sejal Wahane of Saraswati Vidyalaya, Shankar nagar while the II and III prizes were won by Prana Tondon of Little Jewels, Nagpur and Nirmayi Kurutkar of Jingle Bells, Kindergarten, Koradi, respectively.

Consolation Prizes were awarded to Shlok Jaiswal of Bhavan’s B P Balmandir, Ashti Branch and Tanay Sayam of Jingle Bells, Kindergarten, Koradi, respectively. All the esteemed members of the South Indian Education Society were prominently present in the programme. The staff of the Pre-Primary Department worked very hard for the success of this programme under the able guidance of the In-Charge Jyotsna Chari.

Nagpur: Bhavan’s B P Bal Mandir Koradi branch, recently organised an awe-inspiring Teaching Aids Display exclusively for the parents as part of PTM. The theme spoke volumes about the need for inducing play –way methodology and use of apt Montessori aids for providing a world of experience to the tiny tots.

The various aids featured were categorized into Language Jumble, Number Work Zone, Life Sciences Corner and Story Wonderland. The parents were encouraged to quiz the presenters who were students of Bal Mandir to understand methodology which is simple yet extremely helpful.

Principal Sarbani Bose Congratulated & lauded the efforts of the entire Pre-Primary staff. Parents recorded an excellent turnout too and encouraged the young kids.

Nagpur: Under the leadership of Adv. Abhijit G. Wanjarri, Secretary, Amar Sewa Mandal, National Service Scheme (NSS) cell of Govindrao Wanjari College of Engg & Tech., Nagpur organized “NSS Annual Camp” at Z. P. Primary School, Chikna Village, Nagpur from 06/02/2018 to 10/02/2018.

The program was organized under the guidance of Dr. Hemant Sonare, Director, Wanjari Group of Institutions, Nagpur. At the inauguration ceremony the program began with the floral welcome of the invited Chief Guest Mrs. Sunitatai Madavi, Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat, Chikna, by the hands of Dr. Hemant Sonare. Mr. Chandramaniji Nagrare, Upsarpanch, Gram Panchayat, Chikna was welcomed by Prof. M. S. Motghare, Officiating Principal, GWCET, Nagpur and Mrs. Bhole, Asst. Teacher, Z. P. School, Chikna was welcomed by Dr. C. L. Khobaragade, NSS Programme Officer on dated 06/02/2018.

In this camp total 25 student volunteers participated with great enthusiasm. In these five days, various activities were done for the social awareness of the students and community. Dr. C. L. Khobaragade, NSS Programme Officer, and NSS team members Mrs. S. R. Alone, Ms. D. P. Dongre, Mr. G. R. Agrawal and Mr. R.M. Dahekar were present for this event. Nagpur: As part of Global Initiatives of Academic Network (GIAN), a course on ‘Multiphase Drive and generation system for Advanced Industrial Application’ is organized in Electrical Engineering Department, of Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT). This is a five-day programme, conducted by Prof.Emil Levi Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Fellow and Professor from Liverpool John Moore University, Liverpool, UK.

The Course is organised looking in to the potential future application of multiphase drives. Prof Emil Levi graduated from Novisad University, Yugoslavia and did his Ph D from University of Belgrade (Yugoslavia) in 1990. Conventionally, the motors are operated on single phase supply or three phase supply. In the year 2000, Prof Emil Levi came across novel concept of machines with number of phase like 5,6, 9, 15 or more. These machines are found to have applications in high power systems with many advantages over conventional motors.

Prof Emil Levi will share the knowledge of these special type of machines to the participants, who have joined from all across the country. Prof M V Aware and Prof Anjali Junghare are coordinators of this course, Prof V B Borghate Incharge Director, Prof M K Khedkar, Head of Electrical Department, Prof K M Bhurchandi were present.

Total Nine bands with 40 participants from different Institutions had performed in the event. Mr.Abhijit Kotriwar and Mr.Devashish Guru were the judges for the event. Arbor Band from Nagpur was the first winner.Large number of students and faculty members from all department were present. Nagpur: The Mega event of GHRCE, Antaragni, Technorion, Spandan – 2K18, was inaugurated on the auspicious day of Shiv Jayanti at the hands of Chief Guest Nilesh Panpaliya, CFO, Solar Industries India Ltd. The guest of Honor were Dr Vivek Nanoti, Principal of PIET, Nagpur.

The Program started with the beginning with Shiv- Jayanti celebration. A procession of Varkari Dinde was taken by the students and depicted the Culture of Maharashtra along with Lezim dance. A magnificent dance portraying the Character of Shivaji Maharaj was also performed by the students. The students exhibited Maharashtra’s culture with excellent skills then lighting of the traditional lamp along with recitation of Saraswati Vandana.

Gathering In-charge Prof P Y Pawade, highlighted the events carried out during the complete session .He focused on the special achievements of the students.

Dr P R Bajaj, Director of the institute highlighted the efforts taken by GHRCE towards students and also overall development of innovative practices followed by the institute. 12 outstanding students who brought laurels to the institute were felicitated. Ameya Katpelwar has spend his one complete semester at IIT, Gandhinagar. Juhi Agarkar , Represented India at Soccer at Oslo, Norway, and Kunal Bodhe brought grant of Rs 3 Lakhs, which doing his six months Internship project at airport authority of India.


The Chief Guest Nilesh Panpalila in his inaugural speech touched the hearts of the students . He urged the students to develop the ability to think critically and analytically and to pursue the carrer which makes students happy .
Dr Vivek Nanoti mainly focused on synchronizing the education with co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The students took untiring efforts to set up the aura of the theme, “Emperors Zone”. The three days event will witness the most popular and exciting events like Robo-war. Line Follower, Photo-booth, Jump-jet, Bread Board competition and many more the major attraction was street dance.

Yugank Pimpalshende , gathering In-charge along with his team has taken the onus and worked hard for the successful conduction of the event. 33 technical events were conducted on day one. This magnificent event shall conclude with “Celebrity Night” scheduled on 22nd Feb, 2018 with star attraction, “Raftaar, who is popular rapper having latest collection of songs which includes famous movies like Dangal, Kaabil, Fukrey returns etc.

In all there are total 54 events in Antaragni and Technorion, taken together with perfect amalgamation of Cultural and Technical events. These events will witness footfall of around 3000 students from various institutes in and around Nagpur.

The Proceedings were carried out by Manank and Vaishnavi .The vote of Thanks was proposed by Prof. Kapil Jajulwar.

Dignitaries on the dais for the Inaugural Ceremony, Rohini Awale – Chief Guest ( Training Head, HCL ,Nagpur), Dr. Vivek Nanoti – Principal, PIET, Dr. G.M Asutkar – Vice Principal, PIET, Dr. Pallavi Chaudhari – Convener, Prof. Shrikant Zade – Co-Convener, Prof. Suwarna Sawde, Incharge, TECH ZENITH, Dr. S.B Deshpande – Dean R &D , Dr. Sumita Rao – Dean Academics, Dr. R.L Himte – Dean (student Council) and all the Heads of Various Departments.

The Chief Guest addressed the participant from all over the country. She said students, scholars, innovators and entrepreneurs are the need of the hour. Brain Drain should be turned to Brain Gain and stay rooted. She encouraged students by saying, “Open up your minds, be creative, enhance your reasoning power and develop the ability of questioning. Utilize your college freshness to build your future. Student’s should do justice to their studies, be ready to accept changes, adapt to the rapidly changing environments and grab the opportunities”. She concluded saying, “You can get recommendation but it is you who built your reputation.”

Dr. Vivek Nanoti , Principal said “practical exposure and hands-on training would lead to more of learning, one should have lifelong learning process and learning should not be in capsules.”

Dr. G.M Asutkar , Vice Principal said “ NCOAT NIRMITI provides the platform to showcase your talent and walk with pace of latest trends in the technological world”.

Dr. Pallavi Chaudhari introduced NIRMITI as 13 years old Brand event of PIET as National Technical fest. 250 projects were displayed and 600 paper were presented by students and professors across the country and will be published in the International Journal named IJETEMR.

The proceedings of the inaugural function were carried out by Dr.Bhumika Agrawal and Dr. Shrikant Zade proposed vote of thanks.

Nagpur: R.T.M. Nagpur University BE/B.Tech First Semester results were declared recently. The students of Priyadarshini Institute of Engineering & Technology (PIET), run under the umbrella of Lokmanya Tilak Janakalyan Shikshan Sanstha excelled in the exams and brought laurels to the institute in these results.

To congratulate the students on their achievement and motivate them for future endeavors, the institute toppers were felicitated at the hands of Principal, PIET, Dr. V. M. Nanoti, Vice-Principal Dr. G.M. Asutkar & Dean Academics Dr. S. N.Rao. I year Coordinator Dr. Maithili S. Barahate, I year Co-coordinators Dr. A. Pandey & Dr. A. Bhake extended appreciated the students for their scholarly achievements.

Overall result of the Institute is 71.70%. Shakshi Mate emerged as the Institute topper in BE examintaion scoring 9.89 SGPA, whereas Rakesh Gajbhiye topped in B.Tech (Chemical Engineering) having scored 9.68 SGPA, Vaishnavi Khadse is the topper in B. Tech (Bio-Technology) scoring 9.79 SGPA.

More than 60 students have scored 9 SGPA. First year class teachers S.Dubey, Pradeep Piplatkar, Manjiri Nagmote, Madhuri Langde, Sudha Ramnath, R. Hazare & Dr. Deepali Marghade were also felicitated on this occassion. Sapna Dubey, Nitin Singh Chandel & Kishori Shimpi worked hard for the success of the programme.

TECHNOSTORM 2018 at GWCET

Nagpur: Amar Seva Mandal’s, Govindrao Wanjari College of Engineering & Technology had organized A National Level Event “TECHNOSTORM-18” on 20th February 2018 in association with Raman Science Centre & Planetarium, Nagpur. “TECHNOSTORM-18” included various contests like Technical paper presentation, project competition, LAN-Gaming & Science Exhibition. These events endowed platform for students of engineering colleges to innovate and put forth their ideas and aimed at bringing out the talent of the students.

The Chief Guest for this event was Dr N S Chaudhari, Director, VNIT, Nagpur who showered his ideas with the participating students at this event. While interacting with the students he also explained the role of engineer and said that “Engineer thinks of something which never existed”. Dr N S Chaudhari also motivated the students to be passionate, courageous while solving any problem and told that it can be achieved only through consistent hard work, dedication and by valuing the time.


For this event, Mohan Panda, Scientist, Raman Science centre and Planetarium was also present. In his speech he told students that the mantra for becoming good entrepreneur is to “Think Differently”. He encouraged the students for becoming Job creator rather becoming job seeker.

Smita A Wanjari, Treasurer, Amar Seva Mandal,congratulated the staff and students for successful completion of TECHNOSTORM – 2018. Dr Hemant Sonare, Director, GWCET, Prof M S Motghare, Officiating Principal, GWCET, Prof A S Deshmukh, Convener TECHNOSTORM – 2018 were also present on the occasion. All faculty coordinators, Staff members, Student coordinators worked hard for success of this national level event.
