Nagpur: Students of Govindrao Wanjari College of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur, under Departmental forum ‘ELECTRA’, paid tributes to Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak on his death anniversary today (August 1) by organizing departmental speech competition for students in which students shared their views about Lokmanya Tilak on his early life and political career.
Dr Hemant Sonare, Director, Wanjari Group of Institutions graced the occasion and shared his views about Lokmanya Tilak. Adv Abhijit G Wanjari, Secretary, Amar Seva Mandal, Nagpur thanked faculties and students for conducting the programme. The whole event was organized by Prof P. P. Titarmare, HoD Electrical Engineering Department. Prof Y S Bais and Prof A P Nayak were the judges for the competition. Winner of the competition was Shubham Mate of 7th Semester Electrical Engineering.
