The omnipresent YouTube, having a wide range of reach, will now be used for developing English language across CBSE schools in the country. The decision of the Central Board of Secondary Education is aimed at honing students’ skills of listening and speaking English language. The YouTube usage will come handy for the purpose. All the CBSE schools have been issued guidelines in this regard.
The schools have been directed to upload the video of children’s evaluation on listening and speaking English language on YouTube channel so that the skill is developed to the full. The schools will have to choose the best video and upload it on the channel. One video has been made mandatory for every school. CBSE had started evaluating and testing the listening and speaking skills of students of Class IX, X and XI from the year 2013. This evaluation is done under Summative Evaluation 1 and 2 for which 20 marks are earmarked as well.
