The Jagadambha College of Engineering & Technology at Yavatmal was felicitated with “National Education Excellence Awards-2014” recently during the award distribution ceremony at fivestar Hotel Shangri-La’s New Delhi. The award was given at the hands of Padma-Vibhushan Dr.Karan Singh a member of India’s Upper House of Parliament, the Rajya Sabha. By getting this award college got state level recognition and is described as the best education entity in the Maharashtra state.
The National Education Excellence Awards for the year 2014 was held at New Delhi to acknowledge excellence in field of Education. About 36 institutes through India including colleges & universities have been shortlisted for the National Education Excellence Awards 2014 through 3638 applications which were received from the different parts of the country. Education Excellence Awards 2014 was given on the basis of Infrastructure, faculties given by college, placements, annual growth, students and alumni feedback. The aim of the awards is to recognize excellence and reward extraordinary innovation, talent and imagination. The awards have been organized by Earth Research Organization a multi-faceted organization that is into market research and brand management in association with Planning Commission of Government of India.Selection of the awardees was done after six months of grueling market research, information provided by the institutions and feedback from students and people residing in the area where these institutes are located. The above mentioned awards were decided by certain procedures and rules governing the evaluation of the entries. The entire process of evaluation and reporting was conducted by the eminent jury according to certain norms and schedules. The Award selection process was gone through a dual process of Jury. The Jagadambha College of Engineering & Technology Yavatmal was felicitated with National Education Excellence Awards-2014 during award distribution ceremony at five star Hotel Shangri-La’s, New Delhi, India.The award was given at the hands of Padma Vibhushan Dr.Karan Singh,member of India’s Upper House of Parliament, the Rajya Sabha.He is senior member of the ruling Indian National Congress party, who served successively as Sadr-i-Riyasat and Governor of Jammu & Kashmir. Dr. Karan Singh is the son of the last ruler of the erstwhile princely state of Kashmir & Jammu, Maharaja Hari Singh. Jagadambha College of Engineering & Technology, Yavatmal is only the institute from Maharashtra honored by National Education Excellence Awards-2014.
The national education excellence award 2014 received by Jagadambha Engineering college is one such step aimed at felicitating institutes that is imparting quality education and encouraging students to aspire and achieve their best. The holding of the award is also important from the view that it will bring together education sector and industry stakeholders on one platform to exchange their views and to determine the way forward in terms of best practices and innovation. The institute had taken hard efforts during past six months to achieve this award. Secretary of the Jagadambha Bahuudeshiya Gramin Vikas sanstha Shittal Watile, Director of the Institute Pawan Watile, Prof. Sanjay Hajare, Dr. Surendra Kalaspurkar Principal of the Institute, Prof. Hemant Baradkar (HOD EXTC), Prof. Mahesh Nalamwar (HOD Civil) & Prof. Ramkumar Solanki were prominently present for receiving this award at New Delhi.
