Delhi Public School MIHAN celebrated International Chess Day on 20th July with joy and enthusiasm. The children of Grade IX conducted the assembly on the theme of International Chess Day wherein the students briefed about the history and evolution of the game along with highlighting India’s ranking in the world.
Also, the Sports Department of DPS MIHAN organised the Inter-House Chess Competition in three different categories Grade III-V, VI-VIII, IX-X. More than 90 students participated in the event.
The winners were awarded by the Principal of the school, Ms. Nidhi Yadav where she emphasized on playing Chess in order to stay mentally healthy and strong.
